Great Falls, SC — NBA forward Torrey Craig has come full circle, joining forces with the NBPA, Goalrilla, Founders Federal Credit Union, Escalade Sports, and his own Torrey Craig Foundation to renovate the beloved basketball courts in his hometown of Great Falls, South Carolina.
Growing up in Great Falls, the local outdoor court—affectionately called “The Court”—was more than a place to play; it was a haven that shaped the athlete and man Craig became. It symbolizes community, resilience, and the pursuit of dreams. This summer, that dream found new life.
In June, a film crew from Goalrilla and Hitchcock Visuals captured the court in disrepair—cracked pavement, dirt patches, rusty hoops, missing nets. By August, Torrey, Isaiah, and dedicated community members swung into action.
The transformation included:
The grand reopening saw hundreds flood the court for a 3×3 tournament (with cash prizes), free food and DJ, and a school-supply giveaway. Torrey spoke from the heart, “This place contributed to my growth as a person and player… This one is for Great Falls,” tying his NBA success back to the concrete where it all began.
Goalrilla released a documentary titled “Transform the Court: A Torrey Craig Story”, chronicling this journey—one of adversity, resilience, and community uplift. The film is available on YouTube and Goalrilla’s channels.
This court is but one chapter in Torrey Craig’s dedication to Great Falls. His foundation hosts annual events like the TC Skills Camp and "Torrey Craig Day"—a full day of basketball, back-to-school support, and block-party fun.
For a small community, this renovation is more than upgraded hoops—it’s a beacon of hope. It’s one man’s dream becoming a shared reality and a reminder that even the smallest towns can be transformed with vision, collaboration, and heart.
