Great Falls, SC — NBA forward Torrey Craig returned home in a big way, hosting the inaugural Torrey Craig Basketball Skills Camp—a free, one-day experience aimed at giving local youth the tools, confidence, and inspiration to chase their dreams.
Held inside the very gym where Torrey first learned the game, the camp welcomed over 100 young athletes from Great Falls and surrounding communities. The goal was simple but powerful: teach the game, share the journey, and build belief.
Throughout the day, campers rotated through skill stations led by Torrey and a team of experienced coaches. From ball-handling and shooting to defense and team play, each station focused on fundamentals and development—with an emphasis on hard work, accountability, and fun.
But this wasn’t just about basketball. It was about life.
Torrey made time to talk with every camper—on the court, in between drills, and during a powerful group session where he shared his own story. From small-town beginnings in Great Falls to battling his way onto the NBA stage, Torrey spoke openly about the challenges he faced and the mindset it took to overcome them.
“Your zip code doesn’t define your ceiling,” Craig told the group. “Stay focused. Stay hungry. Stay true to who you are.”
The 2019 Skills Camp marked the beginning of a larger vision. For Torrey and his foundation, this was never meant to be a one-off event. It was a statement: Great Falls matters. And every kid in that gym matters, too.
The Torrey Craig Foundation continues to build on this mission with programs that create access, opportunity, and impact in the communities that raised us.
