Torrey Craig Hosts Holiday Workshop at Build-A-Bear for Phoenix Families
Phoenix, AZ — NBA forward Torrey Craig brought joy, warmth, and a little holiday magic to Phoenix families with a special Holiday Workshop in partnership with Build-A-Bear.
Held at the Build-A-Bear Workshop in Phoenix, the private event welcomed local children and families in need for an unforgettable evening of giving and gratitude. Each child had the chance to create their very own stuffed animal—from choosing accessories and participating in the signature heart ceremony to bringing their new furry friend to life.
For many of the kids, this was their very first Build-A-Bear experience. The energy was electric—smiles, laughter, and wide-eyed wonder filled the room as they picked out their plush toys and holiday outfits.
Every guest also enjoyed a warm meal and left with a customized bear, courtesy of the event’s hosts. But the real gift was the atmosphere of care and connection.
Torrey was fully present all night—guiding kids through the process, helping them select accessories, and making sure each child felt seen and celebrated. It wasn’t about cameras or headlines—it was about showing up.
“This was about giving these kids a moment of joy they can carry with them,” said Craig. “Sometimes showing up is the best gift of all.”
The Holiday Workshop is part of the Torrey Craig Foundation’s ongoing commitment to community engagement and youth support. While the event was filled with holiday spirit, its impact will stretch far beyond the season.
